In this “Edit: Users” window (above), there are several fields to be filled including user code, email, password management, contact information, user role selection, and tags that can be assigned to the user.
(1) The user code and email address can be used to log in. You can set a user code of your choice.
(2) The user's password is not visible. You can automatically create a temporary password by clicking on “Create a strong password.” You can force a password change by checking the box. By clicking on “Send email to reset”, an email will be sent to the user, who will have 30 minutes to respond to the email and reset their password.
(3) Section for the user's contact details.
(4) Section for selecting the user's role, which grants different permissions.
(5) Section for assigning tags to the user, allowing them, for example, to generate calibration certificates.
This section allows you to select user groups and sensor groups.
(1) User groups allow you to grant access to certain configurations. The administrator user can modify all of their own sensors, users, notification protocols, and notification conditions that are part of the selected user groups. For standard users, selecting one or more user groups allows them to view their notification methods in the notification protocols linked to the same group.
(2) Sensor groups allow users to view all sensors belonging to the selected groups in their dashboard.
(3) Allows you to save the creation or modification of the user. When creating a new user or modifying a password or email address, you must enter your own password to save the change.
(4) Allows you to delete the user. All interactions and notes for this user will be retained.
